A familiar face in Western Oregon homes, Randal spent eight years anchoring the evening news for the CBS television affiliate in Eugene. He is also a former national cable news anchor for the Financial News Network (now CNBC). Since 2002, Randal and his wife Cindy have established themselves as the #1 real estate team in the Eugene/Springfield area. Together they rank among the top one per cent of real estate brokers in the nation.
Randal brings a depth of financial market awareness to the Whipple team. In addition to his experience as a business and consumer news journalist, he is also a former stock broker with the Wall Street investment firms EF Hutton and Smith Barney.
In his early days, Randal was the network television son of comedian Jerry Van Dyke on the NBC series My Mother the Car. He also was a frequent guest artist on Family Affair, My Three Sons, The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet and many other popular shows of the 60’s and 70’s. He left Hollywood for college to earn a degree in business administration and political science. For fun these days, he enjoys golfing, skiing, hiking, boating and chasing grandkids.
